Chess It Out – A Fun and Engaging New Chess Training Tool
Have you ever analyzed a famous game with a friend and disagreed about which side has the better position? Instead of arguing, why not "Chess It Out"? ChessItOut.com is a new chess training tool that integrates seamlessly with Lichess. The concept is simple yet brilliant: you connect your Lichess account, and the site presents a famous game. After a few moves, you are asked to evaluate the position and decide whether White or Black has the advantage. If you and your opponent disagree, it's time to "Chess It Out"—you play from that position on Lichess to prove your point! How It Works
- Choose a Game – ChessItOut.com presents you with a famous game from history. ChessItOut reveals the players, tournament, and year.
- Evaluate the Position – After a few moves, you and your opponent decide which side is better.
- Chess It Out! – If you and your opponent disagree, you play from that position on Lichess. If you choose same side, a few more moves gets played and you get to choose side again.
- Choose Your Time Control – Customize your game settings to fit your preferred time format.
- Play Against Humans or Stockfish – If no human opponent is available, you can challenge Stockfish level 6 (approximately 1900 Elo on Lichess).
- Analyze Like a Grandmaster – After the game, you can review your play using Lichess’s analysis tools, the grandmaster game gets added to the list of games played in that position.
My Experience
I recently tested Chess It Out by playing against Stockfish and discussing my thought process.
You can watch my video here: Chess It Out – Playing Against Stockfish! on my YouTube channel, Linus Chess Channel.
To me it makes all the difference that I know this is from a grandmaster game, to motivate me to concentrate to find the best moves.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, Chess It Out offers a unique and interactive way to improve your game. Try it out today and start challenging your friends to settle chess debates the right way—over the board!
