Review Your Best Games of 2025

ChessAnalysisSoftware DevelopmentLichess
A tool to view your most accurate games.

We can analyze our chess games and try to figure out what we did wrong until we are blue in the face but sometimes it’s nice to look at what we did well. As 2025 is wrapping up, this is a good time to look at our best games and give ourselves a pat on the back.

It’s so easy to simply get used to a new level of tactical awareness or a new level of positional understanding or a new opening that we play well now even though we knew nothing about it three months ago. Instead of simply getting used to a new normal, we can mark and celebrate incremental progress.

Review Your Most Accurate Games

To review your best games, you can look at the highest rated wins on your Lichess profile. That’s a good start but if you want to look at the games that exhibited best play, you can use this tool:

Follow this link, enter your Lichess username, and click REVIEW.

After a bit of a wait, your most accurate games will be listed, ranked by average centipawn loss.

If you’re unsure how to engage with your games, you can have a look at my post-game analysis checklist. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with analyzing wins as well as losses.

Happy reviewing!
