The tournament starts out with a Rapid round-robin with a time-control of 25 minutes plus a 10-second increment per move. Then another round-robin with reversed colours and classical time-control is played. These game count double. In case of a tie for first place the top 2, after considering the tiebreaks, will play a 2-game rapid mini-match and, if still tied, one Armageddon game.
