I am a FIDE Master with 10 years experience running a chess academy online and I have coached thousands of students. Almost all of my long term students have managed to reach 2000 FIDE rating and several have achieved master titles.

I am also the Captain of the Australian Chess Team as well as a news writer for Chess.com and New In Chess magazine.

My top FIDE rating is 2183 and I have won state championships and large open tournaments in Australia over the last 15 years.

I have defeated several GMs in FIDE classical tournaments with both colours and have reached online elo ratings over 2800 on Chess.com. I have played approximately 200,000 games online meaning that I have pretty much seen it all.

I am known as one of Australia’s top trainers thanks to my ability to use words to win at chess. Chess feels easier under my tutelage as I am able to convey complex ideas in a simple manner.

My first experiences teaching were with the Sydney Academy of Chess and after plying my trade there, I opened one of the most successful academies in Australia aimed at producing top junior talent.

Since moving to Queensland, the state has monopolised national titles partly due to my coaching in several of the states top schools.
