Mi nombre es Facundo Vázquez, tengo 21 años nacido en Uruguay. Actualmente soy MI con un elo de 2420. Empecé a jugar ajedrez a los 8 años y desde ese momento no he dejado de estar vinculado con este mundo.

My name is Facundo Vázquez, I am 21 years old and was born in Uruguay. I am currently an International Master with a rating of 2420. I started playing chess at the age of 8 and since then I have always remained connected to this world

Fui campeón uruguayo juvenil, en las categorías U12,U14,U16,U18 y U20. En torneos absolutos obtuve el segundo puesto en el campeonato uruguayo en los años 2021,2022,2023,2024,2025.
Representé a Uruguay en dos olimpiadas (Chennai 2022,Budapest 2024).
En 2025 gané el Cto Zonal 2.5 Chile clasificando a la Copa del Mundo Goa 2025.
He participado en muchos campeonatos juveniles sudamericanos y panamericanos, destacando el vicecampeonato en el Panamericano de la Juventud U18 en Montevideo 2022.

I was the Uruguayan youth champion in the U12, U14, U16, U18, and U20 categories. In the absolute championships, I finished second in the Uruguayan Championship in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
I represented Uruguay in two Olympiads (Chennai 2022 and Budapest 2024).
In 2025, I won the Zonal 2.5 Championship in Chile, qualifying for the 2025 World Cup in Goa.
I have participated in many South American and Pan-American youth championships, highlighting my runner-up finish in the U18 Pan-American Youth Championship in Montevideo 2022

Estoy buscando tener más experiencias como entrenador, siendo mi punto fuerte el lado teórico, el armado de aperturas y un repertorio solido para mis alumnos.
De igual manera, creo poder contribuir de buena manera desde el punto de vista táctico y estratégico.
Me adapto al estilo de mi alumno para poder explotar sus fortalezas y mejorar sus debilidades.

I am looking to gain more experience as a coach, and my strongest area is theory—opening preparation and building a solid repertoire for my students. I also believe I can contribute significantly from both a tactical and strategic point of view. I adapt to each student’s style in order to maximize their strengths and improve their weaknesses.

Mi ajedrez está más influenciado por un juego posicional, dinámico. Aunque últimamente he intentado potenciar mi juego táctico para así lograr mejorar cada aspecto de mi ajedrez y conseguir un perfil ambivalente.

My chess is mostly influenced by positional, dynamic play. However, I have recently been working on strengthening my tactical play to improve every aspect of my chess and develop a more ambivalent profile. I focus on enhancing tactical vision, calculation, and improving my student’s repertoire, helping them feel confident with any position they may face on the board daily.

Me enfoco en mejorar la visión táctica, el calculo y mejorar el repertorio de mi alumno, que se sienta como con cada posición que pueda enfrentar en el tablero día a día.

Mi objetivo es que todo estudiante obtenga confianza en su juego, piense independientemente y luche cada partida.
La atención será personalizada con clases de una hora y media, y tendré un seguimiento semanal basado en tareas.

My goal is for every student to gain confidence in their play, think independently, and fight in every game.
The training will be personalized, with one-and-a-half-hour lessons and weekly follow-ups based on homework.
