About me

I’m Egor Lashkin from Moldova, a dedicated chess player since the age of 9. Over the past decade, I’ve achieved significant milestones, including winning the Moldovan Chess Championship in 2023 and 2024. I’ve also competed in the European Team Championship in Montenegro and participated in the U16 Olympiad. With over 10,000 hours invested in mastering the game, chess is my true passion. Having navigated the challenges of chess almost entirely on my own, I deeply understand the hurdles players face and what it takes to improve and succeed.

Playing experience

Over the past five years, I’ve actively participated in numerous events, both in-person and online, playing thousands of games and continuously learning from each one. I’ve competed in Titled Tuesday events, where I’ve achieved notable successes against top players such as MVL, Sarana, Abdussattorov, Grishuk, and Van Forest.

Teaching experience

A few years ago, I began coaching, eager to share the knowledge and insights I gained from playing in numerous events and thousands of games. I believe I have a strong understanding of how to improve at chess and make progress in the game. While chess is easy to explain, it’s challenging to teach effectively. My goal is to make complex concepts accessible and help you navigate your path to becoming a better player.

Best skills

My strengths lie in structured thinking and top-level opening knowledge. I present material in a structured manner, all concepts we learn about anything are based on principles and rules. Scientific approach to chess.

Teaching methodology

I focus on transforming how my students think about chess. Many players have weaknesses everywhere—not because they lack talent, but because they were never taught how the game truly works. My goal is to build the right mindset, the right habits, and a clear understanding of what we aim for in any position. Through years of professional training, analysis, and reflection, I’ve learned what truly drives improvement. It’s a system built on the same thinking process strong players use — refined through thousands of hours of experience.
After sessions with me you will:
1)understand what matters, what doesn’t, and why.
No more confusion, guessing, or random plans.
2)Your perception of the game will shift. You will unlock a new level of game comprehension
3)Stop repeating the same mistakes. Everyone has patterns, people don't do anything once. We will understand the core problem.
