Players must:
-Have a valid Lichess account that was created before 2026 and has 25 rated atomic games for 2026.
-Join the Atomic960 Swiss Lichess team.
-Be able to sign in to PyChess with their Lichess account. https://www.pychess.org
-Register by messaging me and acknowledging their time commitment by February 8.

USCF pairing procedures and tiebreaks will be used.

Players must message their opponent within two (2) days of pairings communications, with two (2) unique days and times they can play. Message me when an agreement, disagreement, or lack of response occurs. Consider using Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to avoid confusion.

At the agreed time, players will message each other on Lichess then go to PyChess. If a player does not show up within 10 minutes, they forfeit the match. To claim this, their opponent must message me at the agreed time and 10 minutes later. If a player disconnects during a game, their opponent must wait until they return or run out of time. If the disconnected player does not return within 10 minutes, they forfeit the match. To claim this, their opponent must message me at the time of the disconnect and 10 minutes later.

The “White” participant must send a challenge with these settings:
-Variant: atomic
-Chess960: yes
-Time control: real time
-Minutes per side: 3
-Increment in seconds: 2
-Color: white

After a game finishes, the next game must start within a minute (each participant must make their first move within 30 seconds). Games are played until someone wins by reaching >4 points, or a 4-4 tie occurs. A win awards 1 tournament point, a tie 0.5, and a loss 0. Immediately send results to me.

If someone believes a participant might be cheating, they must send the game link(s) to me. Public accusations will not be tolerated.

I can only make decisions with what I know: participants that regularly update me will have an advantage in disputes.

Anyone up for some practice Atomic360 games? I have never played the 960 variant of atomic and want to get the feel of it before the tournament begins.
