¿Why did Lichess put the fide IDs of some titled players on their profiles?

I've seen that several titled players have their FIDE PLAYER ID in their profile. I'm sure Lichess put it there, but the question is why only some titled players have it. Most or almost all of them are CMs.

No, Lichess does not add a FIDE ID to anyone's profile, it is up to the user if they want to do that. Those who display their name might as well add a link to their FIDE page, but nobody is forced to reveal their identity to the public.

@zwenna In today's update, anyone who filled out the form https://lichess.org/verify-title/form and marked "Public account" received a FIDE ID marker on their profile and /fide

Accounts prior to this form (old system) did not receive this new feature. (yet)
Even in game PGNs, FideID will also be included.

Remembering that only those who tagged a public account will be tagged.

@SergioGlorias But can titled players change their public account to private or vice versa?

No: but titled players can have 2 accounts (1 public and 1 private)

The FIDE link that was added to user's profile is only added to public accounts. You have to explicitly select the account as "public account" in the title verification form for it to be regarded as public. A public account is, well, public. Even if it would technically be possible to change the status, how do you propose people forget who you are? So it kind of makes no sense for a public account to change to a private one.

If "public account" toggle was off when you submitted the form, this means account is private/anonymous and will remain so.

Also, Lichess allows titled players two titled accounts: One public (identity is revealed in the bio, like name, FIDE ID; FIDE ID is also added to the PGN) and one private/anonymous (identity is kept secret). You can verify an anonymous account via https://lichess.org/verify-title
You can also close your account via https://lichess.org/account/close
