The bullet logo looked even worse than the ultrabullet, the lightning and pointer was easier to tell apart.

@CalbernandHowbe:

Your suggestion definitely has merit, but what @thibault said in #7:

If I had accepted, Lichess would now be an incredibly bloated piece of junk with thousands of settings.

is absolutely true and even not emphasized enough. Here is a quote from my favourite RFC 1925, "The Twelve Networking Truths" (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1925). It is meant in regards to protocol design, but it is true on a very profound level for most other things in software as well:

(12) In protocol design, perfection has been reached not when there
is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take
away.

I use Motif Window Manager (mwm) on top of X-Windows and its typical configuration file is about 50-100 lines long. Fine. When i switched to Linux mwm wasn't ported there and i had to use fvwm2 instead for some time. The configuration file was about 75k of text! Yes, one could change even the most ridiculous things, but, honestly, i ditched the contraption as soon as possible. mwm looks elegant from the outset and i don't have to take hundreds and thousands of possible options and settings into account just to get it to be usable.

@krasnaya: so far the poll is at 50%/50% roughly. That means that 50% OF PEOPLE DONT LIKE THE NEW LOGOS! Also, as has been said many times, it is too easy to confuse 1/4+0 and 1/2+0! I think that this is something that lichess should put an option for because if 50% of people aren’t happy with it, then that’s not good.
