If a lot of people are participating, why not create groups with more people? 10 people doesn't seem like much to me.

I will make the groups bigger once many people participate, but I can imagine that if will be kind of inactive at the beginning. @POPOIPOIPOI said in #2:

i think you should make pauses possible

I think that perhaps you should make the more spaces into the next league, because the only the 2000s would get top three in league 3 so even if you are a 1900 for example, you need to wait for a few weeks or even months for the 2000s to go up to the next league so in my opinion, you are just disencouraging weaker players not to play and wait until the stronger players go or not play at all.
