I also was for Ding, but Gukesh played some obscur line in the opening. Even though black won, white was better and committed a mistake after the opening.

Alright, so I said the french is unplayable if white goes for the line showed.
If white does e4 e6 then a3 followed by b3 c3 and plays like a moron, then sure that the french is playable.
So yes the french is no longer playable.
