this is an interesting blog, thank you! it's true that there is a certain logic in chess, although I'm still a bit skeptical when people recommend playing a specific number of chess puzzles each day and than it will magically help you to become a 2000, it's one of the ways to get there because it's full of solutions, as I said in my first blog, a tactic is a critical point in the game where there is only one solution strong enough to win or draw, the fact that there is only one solution is a challenge that I find interesting! but I think that quantity does not make quality and that having fun and being patient is more important!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I think chess puzzles help me to notice patterns and practice my calculations. I get so excited when I see similar situations come up in a real game and I can apply a "puzzle solution" without a lot of thought because I recognize the pattern of forced moves. I just thought about mentioning other types of puzzles as also helpful for developing the mind for those who want a little break from chess from time to time...
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post... I'll hop on over and read yours now too! ;-)
