I recently decided to set the challenge of breaking the 2200 barrier in Blitz.

Last time I was 2200 was six months ago.

These are some selected games from my journey:

Game 1

Positional manoeuvring around the d5 square, followed by a Karpovian smackdown:

Game 2

Setting traps in a strategically busted position. Followed by a pleasantly smooth conversion:

Game 3

Aggressive approach from opponent leads to a brutal Kingside smackdown:

Game 4

A interesting opening leads to a unconventional position. Advantage slips away and turns into a mad time trouble pawn pushing showdown:

Game 5

The final game. Get a winning attack but then there is another brutal time trouble scramble at the end:

This game secured a rating of 2202.
