I like rapid for tournaments on Lichess. If I want to play a single game, however, I prefer classical. Those are my two cents' worth...

"... Most internet players think that 30 5 [(30 minutes with a five second increment added every move)] is slow, but that is unlikely slow enough to play 'real' chess. ... For the average OTB player G/90 is about the fastest, which might be roughly 60 10 online, where there is some delay. ... Many internet players are reluctant to play slower than 30 5 so you might have to settle for that as a 'slow' game." - NM Dan Heisman (2002)

I like 10+5 the most followed by 3+2

I was playing 5+3 Blitz the most but now I'm just playing 5+0.
It's closest to what seems my ideal time limit as far as quick games go. Any faster and I don't have time to think.
5+3 did seem to disadvantage me as far as people able to get on top of me by gaining time through faster moves.
I'd look like being a shot at winning through them timing out but then they'd catch up and I'd lose on time.
Even when I time out and lose, I feel that I've had some time to think about the situation and I might be satisfied that even though I lost through a time out, I might have been in a better position than them if the game was longer.
Maybe something like 7+0 could be more my ideal fit, if that was a thing.
