Hi team,
I’m a blind user who recently started using Lichess after reading that it’s accessible for blind players. On the web, I found the interface quite usable and accessible — it worked well with my screen reader.
However, the Android application is a completely different story. The interface isn’t accessible at all. I was excited when I read that Lichess could be played on Android, but when I downloaded the app and tried to start a game, nothing was accessible to my screen reader.
After trying a few times, I was even temporarily banned for repeated attempts — which was honestly very frustrating.
So I kindly request the Lichess team to make the Android app accessible for blind users as well. The website already does a great job — now it’s time for the app to do the same.
Thanks for your understanding and for all the amazing work you’ve already done for the chess community.
